The Information Disclosure Unit (IDU) is Three’s team of specialists hired to provide information under the appropriate legislation to points of contact within the Law Enforcement Community. The team has been created in order to disclose information to assist with investigations into crime related incidents and other important scenarios e.g. missing persons



We are now recruiting into the very important position of Security Administration Specialist. The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality administrative support service to assist in ensuring accurate and timely information is disclosed to the requesting relevant law enforcement body. This could include Police forces, Courts and other specialist agencies. The roles sits within a team of 10 dedicated Information Disclosure Specialists, a Team Leader and Department Head.


The successful candidate will have a natural ability to perform tasks calmly and efficiently in sometimes difficult circumstances, a robust personality to deal with a variety of stakeholders and a keen eye for detail.


As the role requires dealing with highly sensitive information, this requires the post holder to undergo security clearance to SC level. The successful applicant must have in the UK for the past 5 years and be willing to undergo a financial background check.

Responsibilities

Administration
Performs standard and non-routine administrative data processing tasks for the principle and gives colleagues advice on the proper performance of departmental processes.
Data Collection & Analysis
Selects appropriate data from information provided by others and inputs that data into spreadsheets or standard formats.
Data Management
Accesses required information for specific purposes using the data management system.
Needs Assessment
Investigates questions related to existing programs, processes and procedures.
Recommendations
Advises managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.
Solutions Analysis
Follows existing procedures and precedents in determining the correct course of action for routine functional enquiries.
Work Scheduling / Allocation
Responds to given priorities by determining own work schedule on a daily basis.
Technical Skills
Action Planning
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
Data Collection and analysis
Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
Data Management
Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to acquire, organize, protect and process data to fulfil business objectives.
Planning and Organizing
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
Policy and procedures
Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
Verbal Communication
Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies.
