Job description

Job Context
As a Trading Manager, you will be responsible for Business traded contribution including end to end P&L management and associated customer journey NPS. Delivery of a commercial and experience quarterly roadmap that delivers our agreed business outcomes. Collaboratively work alongside marketing and service owners to ensure performance, product, proposition, technology and other resources are aligned to achieve our goals.

You will be responsible for delivering our budgeted growth plans in the Business area initially targeting the SOHO and SME segment of the market.

A key contributor within a cross-functional team to deliver both commercial (Financial Contribution) and customer experience (NPS) outcomes for the Business function whilst working with marketing to support shaping current and future strategy and guidelines.
Create and take to market a compelling trading roadmap generated from a suite of products, services and propositions that generate the contribution delivery from the Business P&L.

Provide clear briefs and agree shared outcomes with Marketing on propositions and campaigns that support the delivery of our commercial outcomes. Create a collaborative culture within the business to ensure propositions, technology and other services meet the needs of the segment.

Takes responsibility for delivering a prescribed budget for own area of the organisation and/or conducts complex analyses on budget progress in other areas while working within established systems

Lead and Inspire the communication and engagement of the Business roadmap across the organisation, proactively engaging with key stakeholders to ensure input, feedback and alignment on the big things that make a difference to our commercial and experience performance.

Act as a custodian of the Brand perception in the teams thinking and doing always considering the long-term business strategy and customer impacts of any quarterly plan.

Data Collection and analysis: Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analysing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.

Action Planning: Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.

Planning and Organizing: Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.

Commercial Acumen: Acts independently to apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment and objectives developing solutions while providing guidance and training to others.

Review and Reporting: Applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on reviewing and creating relevant, lucid and effective reports.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications


A good understanding of the Telecoms business market and experience in the industry is preferred.

Ability to understand segmentation and how to unlock value

Experience of deal desk and RFP processes
