This is a Hybrid working opportunity where you will operate from Home and our Reading office with a balance of home and office based working.


SMARTY mobile turned 4 year this year and what an amazing 4 years it’s been. We’ve achieved so much and now, we’re ready to turn it up a notch to truly unlock our growth potential in a saturated mobile market. Our mission is to bring fairness and transparency to the UK mobile market by being the connectivity brand that stands out for being simple and honest.

Your role will be to support growing SMARTY by managing existing partnerships with sim distributors and online retailers such as Amazon and Argos with a sales target to sell SMARTY sims that customers go onto activate.

You will be part of the Commercial team of seven people and reporting into a Senior Partner Manager and working closely with a Channel Marketing Manager.

This role will be a hybrid of working in our brand-new offices in Green Park, Reading, remotely at home and visiting clients.

  • As a Channel Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of online retailers such as Amazon and Argos and sim distributors.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to grow the partners selling SMARTY sims and have commercial awareness.
  • Strong relationships with the key decision makers through regular communication.
  • You will work cross-functionally internally with a range of key stakeholders to drive the growth and execution.
  • The partners day-to-day contact for trading and resolving any queries.
  • Consistent performance tracking and analysis of partners and motivating them to sell more SMARTY sims.
  • Account budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support the development of an Indirect distribution plan for the SMARTY brand that ladders up to achieving the growth targets.
  • Monitor the market in relation to market developments, customer requirements, competitor sales efforts and strategies and communicate this upwards.

  • Telecoms experience ideally Indirect channel.
  • Ability to form strong business relationships and internal stakeholder management.
  • Sales channel account manager experience.
  • Commercially astute – experience managing/working towards commercial KPIs.
  • Strong negotiation skills to support when negotiating partner marketing activities.
  • Organised, excellent planning and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skills to support driving the partner strategy and development.
  • Demonstrates resilience and integrity managing external companies and being the face of SMARTY.
  • Flexible and adaptable and copes well under pressure.
