We are looking for an Digital Data Scientist who can help drive a data led product development culture by curating deep insights and learnings that start with a hypothesis, sound experimentation framework and robust measurement for iterative development that enhance Three’s digital feature set and users experience from digital engagement.

Play a pivotal role in delivering rich insights by being curious in identifying and defining insights to solve business problems, wrangling data where needed, creative in applying analysis techniques with scientific rigour and great storytelling to surprise and delight stakeholders using data-based facts around our customers digital journeys.

You will work closely with other members of the Digital Analytics and Insights team covering analytic, visualisation, data instrumentation and business stakeholders to raise the profile and engagement of digital analytics across the organisation.

  • Shape the strategic product analytics framework through engagement with the business, aligning to commercial objectives and case studies that highlight value.
  • Support Digital teams with their data, analysis and visualisation requirements that drive data led product development.
  • Develop pro-active and innovative analysis and experimentation approaches which can be used as the foundation for incremental improvements in sales growth, cost reduction and experience enhancements ultimately driving product roadmaps through insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with Website / App Product and Digital implementation Teams to curate a data led framework that covers hypothesis, experimentation and learning to drive feature development.
  • To support the Digital Analytics and Insight team in embedding and fostering best in class tools, systems and processes.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest news, innovations and trends in digital analytics, user experience and technology.

  • Experienced Data Scientist with extensive experience in the digital domain.
  • Technical expertise in experimentation, data mining and data science approaches to predict, optimise and categorise outcomes leading to data led product development.
  • Competent understanding of web analytic tools such as Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
  • Passionate about producing high-quality insights that drive feature development with engaging communication of results to a broad audience.
  • At ease working with complex data sets applying strong technical coding skills in Python / R / SQL to develop analytical solutions.
  • Strong visual design skills in bringing complex insights to life with applications like Tableau / D3 / RShiny.
  • Self-starter with the ability to demonstrate self-direction, take others on a journey to achieve outcomes.
  • Collaboration skills to work across the organisation with virtual teams and stakeholders, leading the digital data led agenda.
  • Strong attention to detail regarding data, data quality and scripting to ensure robust and grounded recommendations are made.
