We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer who has a proven track record in delivering and assuring end to end services in a multi-vendor or multi partner environment.
Your role will be to provide governance and technical support for Three’s technology partners, suppliers, and internal technical teams as they deliver new solutions and manage the operation and performance of Three’s network estate.
You will be working with the operational teams and technical deployment teams to support the smooth entry of new services into the live environment, ensuring operability of newly delivered services.
You will drive operational excellence with partners and ensure the end-to-end performance of services are maintained and constantly improved.
Improve the reliability of platforms from inception and design, through to deployment and operation. Work with stakeholders from delivery, design, and system integration to ensure reliability, availability, and scalability of delivered solutions.
Support blameless post-mortems during incident and problem investigations with managed service partners and trigger improvements.
Improve the availability, scalability, latency, security, and efficiency of our internal or customer facing services. Work with partners to ensure changes are deployed with minimal risk or resulting incident.
Support and challenge partners to ensure networks and services are managed effectively once they are live. Ensure services are monitored in areas such as availability, latency, and overall system health. Drive partners towards a more proactive and less reactive approach to operating the network.
Work with partners to improve operational processes and ensure best practice.
Coordinate detailed performance investigations to support the identification of degraded services. Ensure these are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
- Strong operational background in one of the following areas: Mobile Core networks, RAN, OSS, IP, transport
- Exceptional Technical Design background.
- Strong ITIL based service management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring people together. Ability to out of the box thinking
- Knowledge of cloud networks an advantage.
- Knowledge of continuous integration, testing methodologies, TDD and agile development methodologies with operations.
- Fluency in one or more high-level programming languages would be an advantage.
