RAN Reliability Engineer

- As a Network Reliability Engineer, you will be part of an experienced RAN team responsible for operational performance and maintenance of Three’s networks. Three’s environment is complex with a reliance on outsourced partners, so it’s critical that we build the right capabilities in house to challenge the partners technical delivery
- You will be accountable so that all Network services are reliable, scalable, and secure, by demonstrating exceptional expertise in the areas of RAN and Transport service engineering.
- Working as an influential member of the reliability engineering group that supports a heavily outsourced IT environment.
- Perform trend analysis and proactively highlight bottlenecks and network performance issues.
- Ability, to challenge outsourced partners with the reports and presentations presented in-order to keep them honest
- Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of a platform from inception and design, through deployment, operations, and refinement.
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
- Work alongside various “Tower” engineers (IT, Networks, Customers) to drive central improvements or cross tower technology deliverables.
- Ideal for someone wanting to keep their technical skills going but expand into areas of strategic decision making and working closer to solution architects and design teams.
- Understanding of various RAN technologies (3G, 4G and 5G) in multi-vendor platforms
- Understanding of network trend analysis, interpreting various data sources and perform analytical analysis to better understand user’s and network behaviour using network statistics, traces, and drive trialling logs
- Extensive Knowledge of KPIs and the ability to interpret the data in-order to improve network performance
- Experience in using testing hardware and software such as TEMS
- Experience of ITIL ways of working and the governance of process they support (Incident, Problem, Risk and Change)
