We are looking for an Engineer who has a proven track record in delivering and assuring end to end services in a multi-vendor, multi partner environment. You will provide governance and technical support for Three’s external partners, technology suppliers and internal technical teams as they deliver new solutions and manage the technical performance of Three’s network estate.
Working with operational teams and technical deployment teams you will support the smooth entry of new services into the live environment. Ensuring operability of newly delivered services.
You will drive operational excellence with partners and ensure the end-to-end performance of services are maintained and improved.
You will support a team of Network Reliability Engineers, coaching, guiding, and upskilling them in new technologies and techniques. You will be responsible for steering the roadmap execution, defining operational requirements, and ensuring business continuity in always maintained.
Support incident and problem investigations with partners and internal teams to ensure improvements in availability, scalability, latency, security, and efficiency of our internal or customer -facing services. Working to ensure change is deployed with minimal risk or resulting incident.
Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of a platform from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement. Work with stakeholders from delivery, design, and system integration to ensure reliability, availability, and saleability of delivered solutions.
Aid partners in maintaining systems once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health through preventative maintenance.
Work with partners to improve operational processes to ensure best practice.
Coordinate detailed performance investigations to support the identification of degraded services. Ensure these are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability, capacity, and resilience.
- Exceptional Technical Design or Development background.
- Very strong ITIL based service management experience.
- Strong operational background one of the following, Mobile Core networks, RAN, OSS, IP, transport, messaging.
- Knowledge of cloud networks.
- Demonstrated history in automating operations processes via services and tools.
- Knowledge of continuous integration, testing methodologies, TDD and agile development methodologies with operations.
- Fluency in one or more high-level programming languages would be an advantage.
