Job Purpose:
Feed into, support delivery and performance management of a plan that underpins the growth targets for Three’s sub brand SMARTY. Use of market context to support Head of Trading and Performance to define the plan which should include, but not be limited to, channel strategy, device ranging, pricing and partnerships. Influence cross functional team to prioritise and execute the activities to deliver business objectives of SMARTY. Support performance management of the plan in life and proactively recommend / optimise performance. Collaboration with all areas of SMARTY and other key stakeholders in the team and wider business to ensure seamless delivery of activities.


Job Context:
This is a new role in the SMARTY team, reporting into the Head of Trading and Performance. The role is key to supporting the growth for the SMARTY business moving forward.

This role will play a significant part in achieving growth, drive scale and diversifying were appropriate. The role will be integral to the SMARTY Team and other areas across the Three core business in order to achieve the right outcome for the brand. The role will be instrumental in supporting and influencing a cross functional team to prioritise, execute and performance manage where appropriate.

The individual should also support with communicating to the wider SMARTY team to understand and support the plan, while also ensuring that the execution of the plan is delivered.

The role will have a deep understanding and feed into the setting of channel budgets and targets to deliver the growth, ensuring they are sufficiently challenging to meet the budget. They will be accountable for the analysis of performance against targets, provide the channels and the SMARTY team with recommendations for improvement, and ratify all channel performance initiatives

  • Support the development & definition of a trading plan for at least 12 months for the SMARTY brand that ladders up to achieving the growth targets for the period.
  • The individual should influence the cross functional team to engage and therefore deliver the plan within the defined timescales.
  • Lead the execution for all activities to ensure delivery and compliance of activity to plan.
  • Lead the performance management of channel targets and provide the relevant recommendations to optimise or improve where appropriate • Ability to communicate to all levels and able to present complex subjects or ideas in a simple compelling way and is open to challenge

You’ll be great at the following:
  • Ability to see the bigger picture to predict future trends and opportunities
  • Understand market dynamics, whilst reviewing internal KPI metrics when making pricing changes
  • Ensure pricing decisions for products and propositions meet the needs of the segment and consideration to other P&L areas

  • Experience in a dynamic commercial sales environment, ideally Telco
