Now that you have completed your full application on our 3rd party ATS (SmartRecruiters) we want to make sure you understand what information will be collected and recorded about you and how we will manage that data safely throughout the recruitment process. Who we are
We’re Hutchinson 3G UK, otherwise known as Three. In this applicant statement, any reference to “we”, “us” or “our” means Three.
“Three Group” means any entity which directly or indirectly controls Three (a “Three Holding Company”), and any entity which is directly controlled by a Three Holding Company. Here “control” means: (i) the ownership of not less than 25% of the voting rights, or (ii) the ability to influence or direct the affairs of an entity through an agreement or constitutional document.

Three UK’s merger with Vodafone
In June 2025 Three UK and Vodafone Limited merged and are now part of VodafoneThree. This merger means that we can offer you more opportunities, rewards and benefits.
To operate our business and manage our relationship with you, we may share your data with other companies in the Three Group, such as Vodafone Limited.
Whilst Three UK and Vodafone Limited (and where applicable other Three Group companies) remain separate Data Controllers, some personal data processing activities may be undertaken in a joint controllership capacity. What data do we collect?
During your profile setup we will ask you for certain pieces of information which may include:
• First and last names, email address.
• Home address, phone number, working hrs per week, notice period, minimum annual salary required
• Attached CV or uploaded LinkedIn data
• National Insurance, Date of Birth, gender, broad job preferences.
• Diversity information (inc Northern Ireland, Eligibility & pre-screening answers)
What do we use the data for?
• Review and distribute your application information
• Proactively contact you for future jobs
• Credit check & Fraud checks
• If successful some of this information is used to create an employee profile on our Core HR system.
• You have the option for the system to automatically email you new job alerts
• Forms the basis for any future application you may make.
Who we might share it with & Who has access to the information.
• Three Recruitment team based in the UK
• The Three Group
Credit Referencing agency and/or Fraud check organisations.
Length of time held:
• Records are held for a total of 3 years, from the last time of logging in, for reporting purposes after which your information will be deleted and confirmation sent to you.
Pre-employment checks:
Should your application be progressed, any offer of employment with Three will be conditional upon successfully passing these checks. These checks will only use data that is held within Three’s systems or by fraud prevention agencies or other appropriate third parties. Checks can include Criminal background checks (DBS).
