Data Architect

• Define the strategy for how we manage data across Three UK to best support our business objectives and extract maximum value from our data 
• Design and implement an enterprise data model to manage large-volume transaction processing for Three UK’s data and assist in the development of new data products and services.
• Work closely with enterprise and solution architects to ensure data architecture is interlocked with platform and solution architecture for optimum performance, stability and data quality  
• Identify new opportunities for utilising our data across the company
• Define data ownership, standards, policies and associated processes 
• Lead performance and scalability design, measurement, and optimisation for the data platform
• Establish architectural framework for effective data governance across all business areas and how data should be stored and processed more efficiently and quickly at scale

The Data Architect role is a new role within the Three UK Data & Analytics team. The Data Architect will take ownership of Three UK’s data architecture framework. This will include setting the design and strategy for how we manage data through the relevant models, policies and data standards as well as the implementation and delivery of data quality, data improvement and data governance initiatives. The Data Architect will lead the definition and implementation of a data model that leverages the latest technologies to support system performance, scalability, security, and analytics for the Three user community. The Data Architect will be a Subject Matter Expert within the 3UK Data team and will be “hands-on” with our Enterprise Data Model. 

• Architecture, data modelling, data quality and data governance experience in a telecoms context
• Experience of managing, handling, organising and using structured and un-structured data 
• Experience of delivering enterprise level data management solutions
• The ability to design and document data architecture at multiple levels (high-level to detailed) and across multiple views (conceptual, logical, physical) 
• Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
• Familiarity with industry leading architecture, data modelling, data warehousing and reporting tools
• Experience working within a range of delivery methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently, establishing strategic objectives, project plans and milestone goals

Salary range for this role start's at £59,120, and exact salary will differ by job and experience

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

Excluding retail, core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
