Company Description

This role reports to the Finance Manager for cost and supports the delivery and clear articulation of the total business CARC performance through month end, forecasts and budgeting. This role will work cross functionally with finance and non-finance managers to build the CARC plan, with the identification of risk and opportunities. Understanding of the performance drivers and issues of the relevant areas are a key responsibility supported by robust and impactful financial models, with these clearly explained through appropriate mediums of communication.


The role is responsible for providing effective commercial & financial support, along with challenge & direction to the assigned area in the business in order to ensure performance is at the optimum level. The role also manages the relevant financials for the assigned area and analyses the market to proactively identify any risks and/or opportunities.

The role is responsible for providing effective commercial & financial support, along with challenge & direction to the assigned area in the business in order to ensure performance is at the optimum level. The role also manages the relevant financials for the assigned area and analyses the market to proactively identify any risks and/or opportunities.

Responsibilities
•    Supports the delivery of month end and forecasts for CARC (build, challenge and explain)
•    Clear articulation of performance through month end and forecasts
•    Identification of risks & opportunities
•    Provide financial support to the commercial finance teams through ensuring the P&L and KBIs are accurate and relevant
•    Ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of the drivers of performance and issues relevant to CARC and the respective business areas
•    Supports customers to ensure needs are met and assist the Finance Manager in managing customer relationships. This includes an ability to create accurate and relevant financial models
•    Conducts research using relevant sources and uses this to enable analysis of key themes and create financial projection of contribution for the lines of business in question, including scenario planning
•    Collaborates well with internal stakeholders
•    Supports the Finance Manager and Head of FP&A in communicating out strategic direction and narrative around monthly results and key driver of variance
•    Responsible for ensuring all processes and analysis is working efficiently and are continually monitored for improvement
•    Monitor trends within performance, communicate and make recommendations on any area of over/under performance


Qualifications

Must have experience and skills:
• CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified.
• Experience of interfacing with commercial teams.
• Report writing and presenting to a senior management audience.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate in a demand led, rapid change environment.

 - The salary range for this role starts at £40,960, the exact salary will differ by job and experience
- A performance based annual bonus & an additional 'flexible allowance' to spend on additional benefits, topping up your pension, or to be added to your salary.
- Hybrid working between your home (2-3 days a week) and our brand new Reading HQ office at Green Park (2-3 days a week)

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

Excluding retail, our core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
