Company Description

Reporting to the Head of Interconnect and Roaming the Interconnect Manager is a key role in the management of various existing commercial interconnection arrangements as well as new initiatives working with a broad virtual team from across Three UK.

This includes being the senior focal point for key commercial matters facing out to internal and external stakeholders. You will drive the strategic direction of interconnect activities necessary to meet business needs including regulatory requirements. The role involves considerable cross functional engagement with other areas of the business as well as opportunities to represent Three on inter-company matters including our sister companies across the globe. You must be results driven and commercially savvy. You’ll have experience of building strong relationships and delivering results with, influencing cross functionally under pressure in a complex and fast changing environment. 


Job Description

Managing commercial arrangements and relationships for all aspects of interconnects and influence strategy (within Three UK) where appropriate.
Develops and/or delivers budget plans for own area. Own day to day P+L performance and reporting, effectively managing opportunities and threats ensuring the best outcome for both parties against a quarterly plan to deliver against the strategic goals.
•    Develops and/or delivers a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process.
•    Develops and/or delivers a plan for a specific area of responsibility by managing other
•    Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal obligations for wholesale interconnect services as applicable.
•    Responsible for Interconnect Controls to help manage Fraud and Revenue Leakage.
•    Coordinating high value dispute resolution with interconnecting parties.
•    Overseeing and inputting into Threes responses to relevant Ofcom consultations ensuring clear and consistent representations.
•    Oversee the establishment of new controls, dashboards, reports and data management through our various data sets to be presented to senior leaders.
•    Build, develop and maintain effective, co-operative relationships with key stakeholders within Three UK and your partners business who are instrumental in achieving the business objectives
•    Supporting engineering teams for fault resolution, capacity planning, relevant technical standards etc.


Qualifications

Must-have:
•    Experience of Interconnect
•    Experience of managing a team
•    Managing commercial relationships and negotiations
•    Well-developed stakeholder management and influencing skills
•    Ability to drive performance through a virtual, cross-functional team
•    Detail orientated and always striving to deliver to the highest standards
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives
Nice-to-have:
•    Experience of managing commercial interconnect arrangements
•    Understanding of how mobile and fixed telecommunications networks are run from a technical standpoint
•    Ability to pick up new concepts and understand the commercial implications of these.
•    Understanding of the UK telecommunications regulatory framework
•    Financial / Excel Spreadsheet experience


Additional Information

  • The salary range for this role starts at £53,760, the exact salary will differ by job and experience
  • A car allowance, a performance based annual bonus & an additional 'flexible allowance' to spend on additional benefits, topping up your pension, or to be added to your salary.

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

Excluding retail, our core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
