Company Description

12 month FTC

We are a team of 23 dedicated to the financial management of the Technology division, which is responsible for the management and development of our IT systems, mobile network and new technologies.

We are looking for a proactive, ambitious and delivery focused individual who wishes to grow and develop their finance and business partnering skills.  The successful candidate will provide effective and timely financial support, insightful analysis on Depreciation spend, monthly accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, project support and decision support to key business stakeholders.


Job Description

This exciting role will enable you to further develop your financial analysis, relationship building and presentation skills, while providing guidance and key insights in to depreciation.  Your key contributions will help to ensure our financial targets are achieved. Reporting to finance managers, and business partnering the various business areas within Technology/Fixed Assets, will be key to success in this role.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Month end reporting activities, including detailed review and investigation of key variances and drivers within depreciation, and presentation of insightful reporting
  • Depreciation budgeting and quarterly forecasting reporting, ensuring a detailed understanding of the cost increases/decreases and full year variances, appropriately presented to the Technology Finance leadership
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with Fixed Assets team, finance teams and cross-functional teams
  • Support the business to identify and deliver depreciation saving initiatives to ensure we achieve our targets
  • Ensure continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting for both month end and forecasting for depreciation
  • Being the main point of contact with the Fixed Asset team during month end and budgeting/quarterly forecasting, ensuring a detailed understanding of the increases/decreases and full year variances, appropriately presented to the Technology Finance leadership

Qualifications

Must have experience and skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (including filters, pivot tables, lookups and charts).
  • Good Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Able to prioritise and deliver high quality/accurate/timely reporting.
  • Strong accounting and reporting skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a demand-led, rapid-change environment.

At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

Excluding retail, core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
